Hello! Welcome to my website and blog. I’m Haley – a writer, a crafter of words, an avid reader. If you like fantasy, elves, or all things pertaining that crazy lifelong pursuit we call writing – stick around!
My goal for this blog is to pass on the infinite knowledge and wisdom I have gained from my writing endeavors – ha! But really. I think any person who writes is a writer, and any person who writes for others is an author, published or not, and possesses meaningful insight from his or her experience. I hope what I have learned from others and from personal experience can be of use to other authors out there.
I have been writing fantasy fiction seriously for several years, but I have been writing stories in my head my whole life. I thought I was a little crazy, in fact – that no one else re-wrote their favorite stories with themselves inserted in the action, or narrated things in their head with elaborate vocabulary and description. It took a while for me to figure out how to get those stories from my head to paper, but now that I have, it’s the most amazing and frustrating and wonderful thing I’ve ever done!
It is my goal to write inspiring stories set in other worlds that reflect our own world in ways that can only be achieved through the magic and power of words. My greatest aspiration is to write a stories that move people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
In addition to being a writer, I am also a martial artist, cosplayer, and dog-lover. I live in Colorado with my husband and two dorky dogs.
